The Mustang model from Ford is an extraordinary vehicle, and just a few days ago, the Ford revealed the newly model named 2018 Ford Mustang Convertible. According to some photos that we have, but also according to some reliable rumors, we will try to present you this model in the best way we can. A few days ago, the Ford revealed two new photos of the coupe model, and according to some reliable rumors, the Convertible variant will receive the same updates as the coupe variant. Everything will be slightly improved starting from the exterior design to the interior design and engine capabilities. In the following review, you can find out something more about the recently developed model. Stay with us and enjoy.
2018 Ford Mustang Convertible Changes
The exterior design of the resulting model will be slightly updated, and according to some info, we can expect the same updates for both styles. First of all, we have to say that at the first glance, thanks to the visual modification, this model has a polarizing appearance. When it comes to some specific details, according to photos, the front side of this vehicle will receive smaller headlights that will have LED daytime running lights. Also, the bumper of this vehicle will receive some minor tweaks. From the photos, we can notice that the bumper has the same shape, but it seems that it will be more muscular and a bit larger.
Also, the bonnet of this model will be now a bit lower, just like the roof. The bumper will be equipped with the fog lights and side intakes. It looks like the side intakes are C-shaped, and that fog lights are located exactly at the beginning of side intakes. The grille will most likely remain the same as before, and in the middle, there will be an emblem of a horse. The rear side will provide new LED tail lamps while the bumper at the back will be redrawn.
2018 Ford Mustang Convertible 2018 Interior design
Just like the coupe variant, the convertible will receive the same changes inside. That means that this model will be available with the digital instrument cluster, and this is the first time ever that we have a digital cluster in the Mustang model. The optional 12-inch LCD unit will provide three single views that will be fully configurable. If you want, you can set it up to provide different information for each of three driving modes (normal, track, sport). We can also expect adaptive suspension named called MagneRide. This system is taken from the Shelby GT350. Some of the other available system in this vehicle will include collision assist, pedestrian detection, a lane-departure warning system, distance alert, lane-keeping assist, FordPass smartphone application (you can start, lock or unlock your car).
Engine and Performance
Beneath the bonnet, the anticipated model will be powered by a turbocharged, 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine. Also, there is going to be 5.0-liter V8 will be under its hood. Both engines will be mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission which is mutual work
of Ford and the General Motors. Unfortunately, there is no more naturally aspirated 3.7-liter V6 engine. At this point, we don’t know performance details about the engines, and as soon as Ford release official info, we will update this review and let you know.
Price and Release date
The release date of the coming 2018 Ford Mustang Convertible will be probably by the end of this year. When it comes to prices, we can expect around $2.000 more than the current $31,585 starting figure.
